Fleur-de-Lis hotel (destroyed)

This famous inn stood in the High Street for centuries. It was eventually torn down in the 1950s? The carvings were famous - see the postcard below - and at least they were saved, and moved to 35 Whitehorse Lane by the Cherry Tree pub - see the photos below.

They were then put in the wrong order, as you can see!
The two pipe-smoking devils should be in the middle, not on the outsides.
